Paul Stoddart, owner and principal of the Minardi F1x2 racing team, will be interviewed by Richard Morgan, chairman of GPlive, about his career, F1 experiences and thoughts on the future of Grand Prix racing at this special evening event.
- When: 7:30pm, Thursday 23 November
- Where: The Donington Grand Prix Collection, Donington Park
- Price: £10
This offers enthusiasts the chance to listen to one of the great -- and most outspoken --personalities of recent Grand Prix racing, and to see the stunning array of Grand Prix cars at the collection, the largest in the world.
As CEO of European Aviation Group, Paul first became involved with Formula One in the mid 1990s both as a competitor in the BOSS series for historic Grand Prix cars and as a sponsor of the Tyrell Racing Organisation. When the team was sold to BAT in 1997, he bought most of the Tyrell assets and they were moved to his Ledbury facility where an extended version of the Tyrell chassis was designed to take two people and eight cars were built.
The F1x2 programme was launched in 2000, with the first event at Donington Park. Since then the cars have thrilled passengers and crowds alike in 12 countries, and been driven by five F1 World Champions.
Paul’s desire to bring F1 closer to the fans led him to join forces with the GPlive event to be held at Donington Park on the 18-20 May 2007, when the entire Minardi F1x2 team will be taking part.
Tickets for this evening are just £10, and are only available in advance by booking with a credit/debit card.
