Are you ready for bigger lorries on the roads? According to one story, the Government could be about to increase the weight and size of trucks allowed onto the roads.
To bring the UK into line with the rest of the EU, we'd have to accept 60-tonne lorries over 25 metres long -- the current max is 44 tonnes and 18.75 metres.
But it won't happen unless the findings from the Transport Research Laboratory, to whom the Government has looked for guidance on the matter, agree that it's a good idea.
On the one hand, it could mean fewer lorries and improved commerce. On the other hand, truck queues could just get longer...
