Kia -- yes, Kia -- has released a design sketch of its newest concept car. The Kue will be a Crossover Utility Vehicle (
) and be revealed at the Detroit motor show in January.
With SUV styling that Kia described as "distinctly grand", the vehicle is said to be aimed at people lie us by offering greater driving dynamics and performance. The focus is very much about an exciting driving experience, reckoned Kia, as opposed to the typical SUV or CUV lifestyle.
It's based around a monocoque chassis and features seven-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels. The doors feature a distinctive sill-to-waist door crease which can be clearly seen on the all new cee’d – the first Kia to be designed and built in Europe. Other than that, details apart from the dimensions are conspicuous by their absence.
Although Kue will be presented at the Detroit show as a pure concept, it will present a number of strong styling indicators to the direction of Kia’s future models, said the company.
