Zagato uses the Spyder as a basis
This is Zagato's rebodied Maserati, the latest one-off coupé from an Italian styling house.
Zagato received the commission from a Paolo Boffi, described by the styling house as 'a well known entrepreneur in the furnishing and luxury design sector'. Unsurprisingly, the firm has taken some of their earlier work as inspiration -- on this occasion the 1954 Maserati A6 Zagato.
The new coupé uses the chassis from a Maserati GS Spyder, and is therefore 180mm shorter in the wheelbase than the official coupé from Modena.
The car will make its official debut at the Concours d'elegance Villa d'este in Cernobbio on 20-22 April.
