PANTERA ROCKS AGAIN?

These computer generated images of a spiritual successor to the De Tomaso Pantera supercar are the work of German designer Stefan Schulze.

The Italian-bodied and Ford V8-powered Pantera lived from 1971 right until the late 1990s, growing ever more outlandish spoilers and bodywork in traditional supercar fashion.

For his interpretation, Schulze has used the Lamborghini Gallardo as a base, and returned to the clean lines of the original in much the same manner as Luc Donckerwolke adopted with his superb Audi-era Lamborghini designs.

With a rumoured De Tomaso revival in the pipeline, this might not be the last we see of a reborn Pantera…
