The Damax Ascari, It's fast.
Brackley based British GT team Damax will be the latest hosts of the Pistonheads Fan Forum at Silverstone this weekend. This is your opportunity to talk to the drivers and members of the team just before the second 2-hour race of the 2007 Avon Tyres British GT Championship, where Damax are competing with not one but two Ascari KZ1R’s.
Get a close up look at the 200mph V8 powered British supercar as the team prepare to compete against the rest of the impressive British GT grid, which includes the Aston Martin DBRS9, Ferrari 430, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 997 and Mosler MT900.
Big V8 + light weight car = lots of fun
Team principle Robin Ward will be joined by the four drivers competing in the 2-hour race - 2002 British GT Champion Tommy Erdos, Stephen Keating and BGT race winners Oliver Bryant and Phil Keen, who will be making their debut for the team at Silverstone. All will all be on hand to answer your questions about the car and the team.
An extra special prize is on offer to the person who, in the opinion of the drivers, asks the best question in the PH Fan Forum. They will receive a pair of Grid Walk passes so they and a guest can see the build up for Round 7 of the 2007 Avon Tyres British GT Championship first hand as they walk around the awesome array of supercar machinery on the Silverstone starting grid.
There are also 20 tickets up for grabs in the PH Fan Forum, but even if you aren’t one of the 20 lucky winners members of the PH forum are welcome to come along to the Fan Forum at 9:40 in the Damax pit garage on Sunday morning.
