Wolf in slightly less wolfy clothing?
German tuning firm, G Power, has shoe horned an M5 engine into a BMW M3 CSL body.
The firm has also ramped up the power a bit from the standard 507bhp to 550bhp.
This means that the CSL’s not unsubstantial (limited) top speed of 155mph has been boosted to a world stopping 208mph, while 0-62mph time is now 4.2 seconds and 0-124mph zooms past in 11.6 seconds.
This isn’t a one off car, either. They’ll bung the modded M5 motor into any current 3 Series Coupe, Z4, X5 or new M3 you care to offer them.
If 550bhp isn’t enough for you, wait a while and while they work on their supercharger kit, which boosts the power to a rather tasty 750bhp.
It’s not only power they’ve been fiddling with – they have been working on a suspension kit to make sure the car can actually handle all that power.
All of a sudden that new M3 doesn't look so tempting does it? We are surprised to note however that no reference has been made to pricing yet, and has anyone actually heard of G Power before?
