Bit like Darth Vader's supermini
Rather than let the motoring public wait for a (shock horror) surprise at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Nissan has released some images of their fancy new concept called ‘Mixim’.
Its design was inspired by a crash helmet, though we're not entirely sure how they see that.
It was designed with ‘young drivers who are mostly engaged by their computer and the world via the internet’ in mind, so the controls have been inspired by gaming peripherals.
As far as seating goes it’s all a bit Mclaren F1 in there, with the driver sitting in the middle of the cockpit, with a friend either side.
It runs on Nissan’s new ‘Super Motor’ electric powertrain, which runs on Lithium Ion batteries, though its 950kg kerb weight might make it a bit more Tesla than G-Wiz.
Sitting on a 2530mm wheelbase, the Mixim 3700mm long, 1800mm wide and 1400mm high; making it shorter and lower than a Micra.
It's not really going down well in the office, but there is a potential market for it. Somewhere.
