Jaguar have decided to drop the 'Jaguar' name from its future models. Within the next two years models will use just the 'leaper' logo in place of the word Jaguar.
The XF will wear the Jag name as the car is such a radical departure from their trademark styling. Head of Jaguar design Ian Callum said 'when people see the XF they won't know what it is, so they will look for a name badge. That's why we've left it on, but put the leaper there as well'. PH wonders if it's actually to stop them confusing it with a Mondeo?
So, in two years time you can proudly show off your new, erm, Leaper to your friends.
