For those who find their standard Mercedes GL just isn’t intimidating enough for the school run tuners A.R.T have come up with this, the X64 Programme. It's certainly, erm, eye catching isn't it?
It comes with 22 inch wheels (naturally), deeper front spoiler and the all-important ‘A.R.T Lightshow’ – a triple beam headlight set – for when the normal GL doesn’t scream ‘get out the way’ loud enough.
When entering the vehicle in difficult conditions, such as a rainy day in the supermarket car park, the electroluminescent light stripes in polished stainless steel will illuminate along the sideskirts. We can only imagine how that looks.
However it’s not all show and no go, there is a power upgrade available for the GL 320 CDI and GL 420 CDI - around a 20% increase in power and torque for each.
