The Scuderia Edition of the Ferrari 430 is here, the top of the range for the 430s, which include the Coupe and the Spyder. It is a two seater Berlinetta, and Michael Schumacher- who had a hand in its development-will reveal it at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week.
The Scuderia weighs 100kg less than a standard 430, and the naturally aspirated 4.3 litre V8 produces 510bhp at 8,500rpm. This means a great power-to-weight ratio, and the sophisticated F1 technology means this will be a real drivers' car.
The Ferrari racing pedigree means they can introduce specialty equipment which reduces the gearchange to 60 milliseconds and gives the car Formula 1 traction and stability control.
The Ferrari President, Luca di Montezemolo, was so enthusiastic about the car that he held a private day at the Maranello test track to let his friends have a look at it. Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen were also there to make sure it was shown at its best.
