The B3 Biturbo has been released, with Alpina's trademark performance figures. New interior touches over the standard BMW accompany upgraded features under the bonnet. Alpina have shaved the time of the automatic gearbox shifts down to 100 milliseconds and improved the engine performance from BMW's line-up.
The 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine in the B3 Biturbo produces 360bhp at 5,500rpm, up from the standard 300. Alpina claim that the 368lb ft of torque will be evident all the way from 1,500rpm up to the 7,000rpm redline. This means a 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds, and a top speed of 177mph.
