More addictive than Facebook
Save yourself the boredom of twiddling your thumbs while you wait for your shiny new M3 to arrive by exercising them instead.
BMW has just launched a free computer game which allows you to drive the Nürburgring grand prix track in the M3, complete with an accurate recording of the car’s V8 as it screams up to 8,400rpm.
The game allows you to configure the car to your spec before you set 414bhp loose on the track, without the worry of picking up the bill for an excursion into the barriers at the Schumacher chicane.
BMW reckons that the game should run on any PC, but using a steering wheel is recommended if you’ve got one because the keyboard controls take some getting used to. Give it 20 minutes, and you’ll be setting competitive times.
