A bad day at the office for this Volvo
Think of a car brand that is synonymous with safety and, despite the efforts of 5-star EURO NCAPers Renault, you are probably going to plump for Volvo as the tin box to be in should you make an impromptu visit into the trees.
Not content to rest on its laurels however, the Swedish brand has been busy crashing, re-building and crashing cars all over again to ensure its super-safe reputation.
To make sure that Volvo-approved body and paint shops are more than qualified to rectify any accident damage, technicians regularly crash test cars, re-build them and crash test them again.
After a comprehensive set of checks, the data from both crashes is compared and logged, and a report produced on how best to repair a crashed car so that it can withstand the same impacts as well as a new version.
The log is then freely distributed to all approved bodyshops so that all can benefit from this painstaking process.
Good to know that your flat packs will always be transported safe and sound.
