Many people sit at work dreaming of one day driving at Le Mans.
But for one-time shelf-stacker Stuart Hall that dream became a reality.
Now his story is told in a new DVD, ‘Le Mans: Chasing the Dream’, which follows Formula 3 underdog Hall after he was given his big chance at Le Mans last year by Rollcentre Racing chief Martin ‘Shorty’ Short.
It took nine months for filmmaker John Matthews to be allowed to film at Le Mans but when he did he captured all the emotions of Hall’s first drive.
‘Le Mans is such a big event it is rich pickings for a filmmaker,' said Matthews.
'We have tried to cover 360 degrees of the race. The film captures exactly what it is like.
'You can tell Stuart is scared, he is frightened and sometimes he just looks like a little boy.’
It is not the first time Matthews has filmed at the 24-hour race having made ‘Le Mans: In the Lap of the Gods’ the year before, following 47-year-old Short’s attempt at a podium finish.
Now PistonHeads is offering an exclusive deal on the two DVD’s before it goes on general release.
By following the link the two can be bought with a £3 saving today and tomorrow only.
