First it was Prodrive tuned Imprezas, then Lotus got in on the act with the Exige, now Caparo has gone one better and adorned one of its Caparo T1s with the livery of the Metropolitan police.
On show as a deterrent at the MPH show this weekend in London, I couldn’t resist posting these pictures. Despite making the Exige look as practical as an Astra panda car, there would be a certain amount of pride about needing to be chased down and busted by this bad boy.
Although absolutely impossible, in theory the Caparo Cop-spec could lap the M25 in just over half an hour at top speed, and certainly wouldn’t have much trouble catching a speeding car from rest as it explodes to 100 in around 5 seconds.
I also love the press release for this car, which ends “This car is not an operational Police vehicle. It is on show at MPH as a futuristic concept.” Really?
