Back in the day when hot hatches weighed as much as a tin of beans and had around 120 bhp the idea of one with 165mph performance may have sounded a little far-fetched.
But tuner O.CT has made this a reality by taking the Audi S3, which already has a decent 265 bhp, and putting 328 snorting horses under the bonnet.
The Austrian outfit have also gone to work on the car’s looks, which admittedly were a little subtle, and made it far more menacing.
The little Audi now has 313lb-ft and modifications include a high-flow catalytic converter developed by HJS, a sports exhaust with an adjustable butterfly valve, as well as a new air intake and intercooler.
The car does 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
The car now has a fully adjustable O.CT-coilover suspension designed especially for the S3, and 8-piston brake caliper system with 372 mm discs.
