The ant walked away unscathed
Big trees that line the roads are always at risk of having a car wrapped around them, but what about those little bonsai trees? Why should they get away scot-free?
Well, they have finally got their comeuppance thanks to a company called CrashBonsai.
Admit it, you know you’ve always wanted a miniature car crash and now’s your chance.
CrashBonsai is the creation of John Rooney, who describes himself as ‘an artist who is torn between the desire to create and destroy’.
He has channelled this desire into taking bonsai plants, and combining them with model cars and trucks which he has creatively smashed and melted, calling his creations ‘little living car crash sculptures’.
He then takes these sculptures and sells them for quite a lot of money.
He also supplies crashed car and truck models to bonsai gardeners so they can incorporate them into their hobby.
There is a whole variety of crashed cars on offer and each model is ‘individually disassembled, cut, melted, filed, smashed, then reassembled to replicate a real fender bender’.
