We like a good rumour here at PistonHeads and one that involves the words Knight and Rider has to be worth mentioning.
Rumour has it there is a new Knight Rider TV movie, rumoured to reprise David Hasselhoff’s role as Michael Knight, and the latest rumour is KITT will be a Mustang.
But the fast-talking KITT won’t be any old ‘Stang it will be a Shelby GT500KR.
The car in question won’t be all black either - it will have grey stripes running down it.
Power will be around 550 bhp and rest assured the flashing red light and whooshing sounds will be back as well.
Hasselhoff isn’t likely to be getting the lead role, rather playing the father of the character driving the Mustang KITT.
The new car is said to be upgraded from Knight Industries Two Thousand to, yes you guessed it, Knight Industries Three Thousand.
