Looks still divide opinion
Subaru has released prices for its new Impreza WRX STI and it is cheaper than expected.
The 2.5 STI range-topper will cost £24,995 on-the-road - £1,600 less than the old model and much lower than predicted.
Even for the large amount of people who can’t stand the looks of the new Scooby, 25 grand for 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and a 155 mph does seem good value.
The WRX STI is due to make its first UK appearance at the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC on January 10 to 12.
First deliveries are expected next March.
The STI is arguably the best-looking of the new Imprezas with a WRC look-a-like body and large blistered wheelarches.
The 2.5 litre boxer engine has 300 bhp and there will be leather/Alcantara interior as standard.
