Bugatti is no stranger to making the fastest this and the quickest that, so it is no surprise that the company is planning an assault on the ‘fastest convertible’ crown.
More details have emerged on the Veyron Targa, a car for people with the best toupés in the world.
If you are interested, the cost is expected to be around a million quid, but according to the latest reports the whole production run of 80 is already sold out.
The car is said to feature a glass roof made by Webasto, the people responsible for the Volkswagen Eos’s lovely folding roof.
The Bug’s roof won’t retract automatically however because of a lack of space in the Veyron’s design.
Because of the extra weight of the roof the doors will be made of carbon instead of aluminium.
Bugatti designers are also treating us to a restyled grille and headlights.
But sadly for those who were looking forward to hitting 250 mph with the wind in their hair, or rather ripping it out at the roots, the car will be apparently limited to ‘just’ 217 mph for aerodynamic reasons.
