Mercedes has unveiled a revised SLK with more power and better economy.
The SLK has also been treated to a mild facelift with a more pronounced arrow shape at the front and a diffuser-style rear end.
Mercedes says the new SLK is sportier looking, with AMG-inspired darkened rear lights and LED indicators in the mirrors.
The company claims all of the engines in the line-up are now far more economical on fuel and, therefore, emit even less CO2, despite a substantial increase in output in many cases.
There are three modified engines and the four cylinder has been boosted to 184bhp, up 21bhp.
There is a new direct steering system with variable steering assistance, available as an optional extra.
