Yes, we’ve all heard stories about sat navs being replaced for brains and leading people into situations they’d rather not be in, but they still make us laugh.
This time a computer consultant apparently put too much faith in his GPS technology and drove his rental car onto train tracks only to find a locomotive charging towards him.
The man, identified as Bo Bai, 32, then managed to get stuck on the tracks at the crossing in Bedford Hills, said Metro-North Railroad officials.
But quick-thinking Mr Bai then decided to jump out of the car and started waving at the train driver to slow down.
What with the fact it was a train, the driver unsurprisingly failed to stop in time and reportedly barrelled into the car at 60mph.
In a ball of flames the car was pushed 100 feet.
There was understood to be 500 passengers on board who, although stranded for over two hours, were not hurt.
