The new BMW M3 has been launched with a large helping of praise from the world's press, and PH agrees that it's a truly fantastic car. True to form BMW have plans for a roofless M3 and have given us some pictures showing how the new car will look when it arrives in 2009.
Have a look through the PistonHeads forum pages and the coupe Vs cabriolet argument is one that will never die, some prefer the solidity offered by a fixed roof, whereas others are happy to waft about and take advantage of global warming. But there's one car that suffers more than most from outsiders perceptions and that's the M3 cab.
The new car certainly looks pretty good, and the lack of a roof means that 420 BHP, 4.0 V8 will be easier to hear as you take on the Stelvio, but will the 295 lb-ft of torque be contained without a metal (or should that be carbon) roof?
