Porsche has shown how serious it is about battling the new £25 Congestion Charge by setting up a website dedicated to its threat of legal action.
The firm argues that it is ‘yet another tax on London and the motorist’ and is a disproportionate rise.
Not only will the charge hit drivers of sports cars, such as Porsches, it will impact on families who use people carriers, the company says.
Porsche claims the hike will not make any meaningful difference to the environment and the CO2 saved in a whole year is the equivalent, at most, to just a few hours of emissions from Heathrow Airport.
The site www.porschejudicialreview.co.uk has been set up to explain more about the carmaker’s case.
It also gives drivers the chance to add their names to an online petition that will be presented to London mayor Ken Livingstone.
