A new British supercar is to be launched on St George’s Day.
Details are sketchy but Keating Supercars claims that an early prototype of their ‘sports GT’ broke the world speed record held by Bugatti at the time.
The car has been eight years in development and will be launched as a two model range, both sharing the same body.
Keating says the top of the range TKR ‘boasts more power than an F1 race car but with tractability for the road’, while the 400bhp SKR has been tuned for touring.
The car will be launched on April 23 at an English manor house on the North West coast although Keating is making it a private affair and keeping the exact location secret.
‘The event will include a descriptive launch and reveal, followed by acceleration and high speed demonstration drives at a nearby RAF airfield and cruising drives on fast public roads,’ the company said in a statement.
