Tuner Hamann is best known for taking the elegant forms of Ferraris and sticking more bits of kit on them than a 17-year-old’s Vauxhall Corsa.
Now they have set to work on the new BMW E92 M3.
The package is available for the coupe and convertible and aesthetically the car gets a chin spoiler, side skirts, rear apron and roof spoiler, that apparently combine to reduce lift.
However, with all the add-ons the subtle good looks of the M3 seem to be lost forever.
There are two levels of tune, both fairly restrained, the first giving the car around 20bhp and the second 35 extra horses.
The M3 has been lowered by 40mm on a new adjustable coil-over suspension and an upgraded brake system with larger rotors and front six- and rear four-piston calipers are added.
The company’s black demonstrator has been given forged, black rims called ‘Edition Race’, which weigh less than the standard car’s wheels.
