Whether you like the design of the Jaguar XF or not, we can’t help thinking that this has ruined it somewhat.
It’s the Arden XF AJ21 and the German tuner has clearly been on a shopping spree to Halfords.
It has a new front end design with Porsche 997 Turbo/Audi S6 front LEDs, an enlarged radiator grill finished in stainless steel mesh, and oversized air vents for cooling of the engine and braking system.
We are even treated to a return of the skull-cracker Jaguar mascot on the bonnet.
Aerodynamic lift has been reduced at the front and handling is improved, claim Arden.
The back obviously wouldn't be complete with a de rigueur diffuser and rear spoiler.
The good news is there is more power – the top end is a 4.5-litre V8 from Arden’s previous AJ20 XKR.
The engine has a specially made crankshaft, along with new con rods and pistons to help achieve a 300cc increase in displacement over the standard motor and develops a peak output of 500hp.
The interior of the XF is perhaps its best feature so Arden has wasted no time messing around with it, adding new upholstery and carbon/wood inserts. Lovely.
