It also means that people will have to start getting used to the fact that Caddys are no longer the reserve of footballers and pimps, but serious performance machines that could worry the Germans.
Now the official acceleration figures for the CTS-V have been announced and get this, they apparently make the car the quickest V8-powered saloon in production.
The car will crack 60mph from standstill in 3.9 seconds and complete a quarter mile in 12secs dead at 118mph.
The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-litre V8 LSA engine officially delivers 556bhp at 6100 rpm and 551lb ft.
