Nicholas Hoare came up with a cunning defence when faced with a driving ban for totting up 12 points for breaking speed limits - he told a court that the road he was snapped on 'doesn't exist'.
It is, apparently, known by two different names.
There's already been a legal precedent for the camera concerned - a court last year refused to convict a lorry driver for speeding in the same 30 mph zone.
Mr Hoare, defending himself, told magistrates in Weymouth, Dorset, that the same principles should apply to him.
His last three offences all related to a speed camera at Chideock, near Bridport, but Mr Hoare says the camera does not exist on the road that the camera partnership says it does.
Magistrates adjourned the case until September.
