The Dodge Viper ACR may just about scrape through as a road car but it has apparently lapped the Nurburgring faster that pretty much anything else to carry number plates. We're not entirely sure how this video has come about (and admittedly haven't sat there with a stop watch timing it) but according to Motor Trend it shows the ACR looping the 'Ring in 7.22.
The driver is undeniably skilled and the car is incredibly rapid but by the number of times it slams into the rev liimiter we're thinking it could actually go a bit quicker. What we also particularly like is the fact this car probably took as long to develop as a Nissan GT-R wheel nut...probably.
