Lotus has unveiled a special one-off Europa worth £150,000. The car has been created to celebrate the company's 60
anniversary and features £111,000 worth of diamonds. The diamonds will be set in a special matt black bespoke gear knob and there is a specially designed rev counter were the diamonds will be lit by hidden LED lights.
The exterior has not been neglected by the diamond treatment - it will be given a special diamond flake paint job. With the black high gloss finish being sprinkled with tiny glass flakes. Lotus says this will give the illusion of the car showered in diamonds. The standard Lotus badge has been replaced with a diamond encrusted version.
Mike Kimberley, Group Lotus CEO, said: 'I'm always proud to launch a special edition Lotus and this commemorative, bespoke Lotus for our Diamond Anniversary is very special indeed. We are a global, high technology engineering consultancy and sportscar company and reaching this special milestone demonstrates our tenacity and creativity as
much as our expertise and professionalism.'
The Bespoke Europa will be on show at the Lotus 60th anniversary show.
