The wraps came off Audi's new S4 at the Paris show, which now features a V6 instead of the traditional V8 unit. Audi hopes to improve the economy and emissions of its sporting A4 by using a supercharged six-cylinder, which produces 330bhp and 325lb ft of torque.
The car has either a six-speed manual gearbox or a new seven-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission. 0-60mph takes 5.1 seconds and top speed is limited to 155mph. The S4’s quattro system channels 40% of the torque to the front axle and 60% to the rear.
Audi had an S4 saloon and an Avant on show at the Paris show.
