Two fabulous Ferrari-related registration plates are up for grabs in the DVLA’s first ever ‘sealed bid’ auction.
250 SWB and 250 TDF have a reserve price of only £1,200 each, but are expected to reach far more. Last summer the celebrity car enthusiast Chris Evans paid £5.6 million for a 1961 250 GT SWB, while the 250 GT Tour de France is one of the rarest Ferrari models in existence.
If you fancy a punt on either plate, you’ve got until October 31st to register and place your sealed bid.
There are 1,498 other personalised plates up for grabs in the same auction, so to save you the trouble of ploughing through them all, 250 SWB is lot number 1278, and 250 TDF is lot number 1336. You will let us know if you win either of them, won’t you?
