Purely in the interests of furthering road safety, here’s the link to biker Sandor Ferenci’s incriminating home video – yep, the one that landed him in jail for 12 weeks yesterday after he posted it on YouTube. Don’t try this on your favourite by-pass, obviously!
Ferenci’s multiple offences took place on the A422 Banbury to Brackley road on June 10th this year. A shaken motorist who witnessed the show took his registration number and passed it to police, who naturally followed the report up with a house call.
Before officers had a chance to question Ferenci about the alleged offences, the young tearaway asked them: “Is this about the YouTube video?” Only then did police discover the evidence they required to justify two charges of dangerous driving.
There are various morals to this story, one of which was expressed at the trial by Judge Terence Maher: “If you drive this way and are caught, serious consequences will follow.”
