For when V12 Ferraris are just too slow
To be fair some tuners go a little too far. Then there’s Novitec Rosso, a company that goes a lot too far. Few people would argue the Enzo-derived V12 in the 599 GTB lacks grunt but clearly someone does because Novitec has decided to bolt on a twin-supercharger kit, bringing power up to an eye-watering 800bhp.
Luckily the styling changes are subtle, although we would question the new ride quality (or lack of) from the suspension mods. The 599 now has 607lb-ft of torque and power is up some 185bhp on the standard model.
0-60mph is 3.5 seconds, with 125mph arriving in 9.7 seconds and 187mph being reached in 25.5 seconds. A belt-driven twin-supercharging system is bolted on to the engine, giving a small peak boost pressure of 5.65psi.
The compressed air is then cooled by a large intercooler and a specially designed intake manifold with high-performance injectors and sports air filter complete the conversion. Throw in a reworked ECU, custom exhaust manifolds, a new exhaust system and you have one very fast Ferrari.
The aero kit is made up of a new front lip, side skirts, rear wing, and rear diffuser. There is a KW Automotive adjustable aluminium suspension kit and new 405mm brake discs with Brembo six piston callipers. Just watch out for speed bumps…
