After months of spy shots, leaked images from computer games and renderings, we had been looking forward to
seeing the official shots of the Nissan 370Z
. Sadly, for some reason when they appeared they looked like computer-rendered spy shots from a video game.
The official images seemed so heavily touched-up that it was hard to see what it would look like in real life. Luckily three new images have now surfaced that show an official press shot of a yellow Z and a silver car at a recent Nissan event.
In these pictures the car looks less gawky and although it has an undoubtably stubby tail, it appears far better proportioned. In fact, it looks like far more of an evolution from the 350Z – the car which it replaces.
The 370Z, named after its 3.7 litre V6 engine, is Nissan’s first ground-up redesign of the 350Z. The latest Z shares its powerplant with Nissan’s Infiniti G37. This engine makes 316bhp in the Infiniti coupe, but previous media speculation has indicated the Z-car might do a little better – perhaps with up to 330bhp.
