A piece of... er... history
A Rolls Royce that apparently once belonged to the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has surfaced on eBay. The maroon Corniche Convertible is said to have been one of Hussein's vast fleet of exotic and luxury cars, and is now being imported to Britain by a Surrey trader.
It comes with just 559 miles on the clock, and full copies of documents to confirm the car's previous ownership. According to the seller, this opulent barge simply requires a new ignition (no explanation of this is provided) and a new stereo, due to the original being allegedly stolen by the United States military.
The seller claims to have another eight Hussein family cars on the way, and further down the advert goes on to describe some of the other exotic rarities that he has managed to source. The advert also provides a short history of Saddam's son Uday and the grim story of his body double, though it is not clear what this particular story has to do with the Roller. Taste not accounted for, this macabre piece of history can be yours for £150,000.
