The black beast pictured here shall henceforth be known as the 9ff Vantage GTR, and it sports an engine tweaked to a thoroughly respectable 725bhp. Well, it would be respectable in a car weighing less than the Cayenne’s 5000lbs.
You’ll recognise the Vantage GTR by the 911-style front end and those racy wheel arch extensions, while its owners presumbaly get a free perma-tan from the giant hole their rides will be ripping in the ozone layer.
As an exercise in sheer pointlessness the Vantage GTR is hard to beat, so three cheers for Gemballa who have pulled out all the stops to do it. The Gemballa Tornado GTR 700 has been given a new look inspired by the Carrera GT supercar, no less.
The result is an arresting spectacle with a new carbon fibre hood, front apron and rear diffuser, as well as interior that sports a new centre console also inspired by the unit in the Carrera GT.
There are three performance upgrades available offering 542hp, 641hp or 740hp and, because the Tornado GTR is designed ‘almost entirely with performance in mind’, those crazy Gemballa engineers have removed most of the Cayenne’s luxury kit and converted the standard 4x4 drivetrain to rear drive. Yes, really, they have.
