The innovative DS is still one of Citroen’s proudest moments, and arguably in recent history the carmaker has been trying to create that same mojo with its larger cars.
Now it has decided to do the obvious thing and bring back the DS name altogether, in not one but three cars.
This is expected to kick off with a concept for a small DS – the DS3 – at the Geneva show, with a launch in 2010. The subsequent DS4 and DS5 models aren’t expected to appear until 2011.
According to Automotive News, the two latter cars will be two mid-sized cars and will supplement the C3 and C5 models. Therefore it appears that they will be quirky niche models instead of practical mainstays to the range. According to reports the car will not replace the C6 range-topper.
