MotoGP world champion, rally driver and all round petrolhead Valentino Rossi has been injured in a curtain accident. The Italian has had to have stitches in his left hand after he tripped and fell into a glass table.
Apparently he was attempting to draw the curtains and may be unable to take part in pre-season testing in Malaysia tomorrow. He has also cut his left foot and went straight to hospital to get the injuries stitched up.
He has flown to Malaysia but it is not yet known whether he can take part in testing as planned. The 29-year-old has two years left on his contract with Yamaha and secured his sixth world title last season after two years.
He is one of the most successful racers of all time and was so dominating last season that he won the title with three races to go. He has also tested for the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
