The surprise option has emerged as Porsche unveil five world debut technologies in the Panamera, which makes its show debut at the Shanghai auto show next month.
These include a fuel-saving ‘stop/start’ function with automatic transmission,
adaptive air suspension with extra volume ‘on demand’ and an active aerodynamic package with multi-stage rear spoiler.
The Panamera also has a full body undertray to improve aerodynamic efficiency, which is also said to help the acoustic characteristics of the 4.8-litre V8 engine to be appreciated from within the car.
