Lamborghini has moved to quash rumours that it has canned plans to produce the Estoque saloon by issuing a statement saying it never confirmed the car would be built.
After all but handing over the keys to interested buyers of the performance four-seater at its unveiling during the Paris motor show, Lamborghini has looked to backtrack from its original plans.
In a statement which read: “Lamborghini believes that if a third model line should ever be added to its product line up, a four door luxury performance saloon could be a logical product strategy. No decision has been made to produce the Estoque.”
Development of the Estoque was thought to be at an early enough stage to allow the company to suspend its development. It is thought the company will look to re-evaluate the future direction of the Estoque and its other models, with weight saving made a high priority.
