PH is inviting motor industry nominations for a new Environmental Technology Award to be presented at the annual ‘Black Tie & Pie’ event in November.
The new E-Tech Award, designed to be trailed and reported across the Haymarket Group’s motoring and lifestyle print titles, is designed to showcase a new ‘sustainable enthusiast future’ for the PH brand.
Conceived by Haymarket Publishing’s Media Sustainability Group, the Environmental Technology Award will be ‘the first incremental step towards a sustainable future for PH that reflects the increasingly responsible aspirations of its readership’, says Mike Hunt, MSG project leader for Haymarket, the UK publishing giant owned by former Deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine.
‘New global realities are having an increasingly profound effect on Haymarket reader groups, and in the case of PH we know that site users expect us to reflect the changing world,’ says Hunt. ‘It is vital that we stay ahead of the curve by promoting sustainable mindsets across all our brands, and for PH in the medium term that means subtly shifting our editorial focus to enjoyment of motoring for its own sake, and not simply the glorification of high performance’.
