Chinese manufacturer Geely has announced it is to show an updated version of its Tiger GT concept at the Shanghai motor show.
The Tiger GT was first unveiled at the Beijing motor show last year, where the coupe was well received thanks to its aggressive and sporty styling. Other Geely models like the Rolls-Royce Phantom rip-off PH featured yesterday have drawn 'mixed' reviews, but at least the Chinese are keeping us plied with new metal while the rest of the global auto industry pulls in its horns!
Details on the new and improved Tiger GT are scarce, but we do know it will have Lamborghini style scissor doors, and according to the company will be a better finished product with around 90 per cent of the original car’s engineering problems now resolved.
Power is still likely to come from the 223bhp 3.5-litre V6 fitted to the original show car.
Geely has not yet confirmed if it will put the Tiger GT into production, but given the amount of interest it generated last year you may well be looking at China's first global GT car.
