If Porsche’s new Panamera isn’t your cup of tea, but you need the practicality of a four-door with plenty of power and a top premium badge, perhaps you’d consider adding some visual ‘enhancements’ to make the four-door Porker more appealing.
Rendering expert Jon Sibal has created his own interpretation of what the German tuning market might do to customise the Panamera. Inspired by the work of TechArt, this unofficial Porsche Panamera TechArt body kit rendering adopts many of the familiar in-house style of the renowned Porsche tuners.
Much of the car’s design is original, however, the front bumper is based on the TechArt GT Street R - a restyled version of the 911 Turbo. Sibal's car also gets flared side skirts, new front bumper vent covers and blacked- out trim surrounding the headlights.
Whether Sibal’s TechArt Panamera homage is just a ploy to get some work from the company we’ll never know, but Porsche is apparently impressed with the detailing and professional quality of the rendering.
Fortunately, thanks to Porsche, we can now all design our own Panamera, after the company added their new car to its online configurator. OK, so you can’t add any ‘hardcore’ bodykits to re-sculpt your car, but you can choose from a pretty sizeable options list. Keep an eye on the top right corner though. Our Panamera Turbo is well on the way to £110k.
