An F1-badged version of the John Cooper Works edition MINI will be one of a range of special editions being revealed at the MINI United festival at Silverstone on May 22-24.
JCW - soon to be available in BRG
The new JCW F1 has been conceived to celebrate 50 years of Mini motoring, as well as the 50th anniversary of John Cooper's first Formula One racing car.
The F1 edition is said to feature a British Racing Green paintjob, with contrasting Pepper White roof and mirrors and a pair of black racing stripes up the bonnet. According to unofficial reports the engine and running gear will be standard JCW spec, which means a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine making 208bhp.
There's no word yet on how many JCW F1s will be produced, or at what price.
Meanwhile, PH has picked the five lucky winners for freebie tickets to the MINI United festival weekend. They are:
Mark Taylor
Richard Pulley
Ryan Coombs
Jarrod Ellis
Mark Gidden
Well done to them, and commiserations to all the other PHers who entered. If you want to join the fun, details of the event - and tickets - are available via www.miniunited.com
