The Maserati Grand Turismo S has been treated to a dose of NOVITEC supercharger technology.
NOVITEC is best known for its Ferrari tuning packages, so it’s no surprise the company has recently turned its attention to the similarly-engined Maserati line-up.
According to the latest press release, its Gran Turismo conversion straps a toothed belt-driven blower to the Maser’s 4.7 litre V8, with the subsequent 0.37bar of additional charge pressure lifting output to 600bhp and 588Nm at 5,400rpm. As a result, NOVITEC claims the 0-62mph time drops 0.4secs to 4.5secs, while a full 2.6secs is shaved off the 0-124mph sprint – now 14.6secs. Top speed is up from 183 to 196mph.
The car also gets some subtle aerodynamic tweaks including carbon front spoiler lips, rocker panels and a rear lip spoiler.
A variety of sportier suspension settings are available to customer requirements, says NOVITEC, and the Gran Turismo S is also offered with a set of 9Jx20 front and 12.5Jx21 rear alloy wheels in a bespoke alloy design.
