For any PHers still wondering whether the BMW X6 actually has a point, the Germans have unveiled an emergency medical first-response unit based on their gargantuan coupe/hatch/SUV/ ‘crossover’.
We’re not sure whether the car is a serious attempt to capture sales in the emergency responder sector, or simply a bit of showmanship for the media. Either way, the xDrive50i based ‘notarzt’ has been built for display at the RETTmobil rescue vehicle show in Fulda, Germany where it’s sure to pull a crowd.
With its 407hp twin-turbo V8, emergency orange graphics and plenty of blue lighting, there are few vehicles on the road that say ‘get out of my way’ in quite as extrovert a fashion, and with a doctor or paramedic plus full medical kit on board the vehicle looks ready-made for its own TV reality docu-drama.
