Yesterday Ferrari announced its last of the line 430s was to be auctioned for charity once it had undergone a snazzy new paintjob. Today we’ve got details of a similarly noble giveaway by Mini, who will be auctioning a one-off Beatles inspired Mini.
The specially designed Mini is a recreation of Harrison’s own personal Mini from 1966 that got a special psychedelic makeover after manager Brian Epstein gave each of Liverpool’s finest a new Mini Cooper S.
The George Harrison Mini will go under the hammer at next weekend’s Mini United event at Silverstone, with money from the auction being donated to the Beatle’s Material World Charitable Foundation. Groovy man.
